Malabrigo Point Lighthouse

The stories of the olden lighthouses are music to my ears. There is this "force" in their architecture that enchants me, they are like the long lost "loves" of my life.

I traveled approximately 300 km to reach Lobo, Batangas to meet the beautiful Faro de Punta Malabrigo.

Situated atop the hill of Malabrigo village, the lighthouse was adopted by the family of the swimmer, Akiko Thomson, protected and maintained to conserve its charm.

Every lighthouse and settlements have their ghastly stories to tell, but despite of the eerie tales, their magnificence and charisma always stands out.

Wishing  every lighthouses we inherited from the past will be preserved too. They don't just serve as a guiding light but a symbol of courage and hope, for a brighter future.

Directions:
Bus to Batangas City (via Calabarzon for speedy travel time)
Alight at Balagtas Terminal
Ride a jeepney bound SM Batangas City (2 rides)
From SM, walk the route of Ayala/Libjo bound PUJs or ride a jeepney with signboard Libjo and tell the driver to drop you off at the jeepney terminal going to Lobo.
