Bantayan Island

The serene Island of Bantayan is a beautiful tiny island paradise that boasts of white sand beach with pristine blue waters- a perfect place for people who want to have a quiet and peaceful relaxation, away from the busy and stressful work in the city.

This tropical island is awe-inspiring, uncrowded and unexploited.
You can say that time isn't ticking that fast in this tiny paradise.

Walk the town and take a lot of pictures while on the beach. The water is so clean and shallow, that even if you're 50 meters away, the water won't get higher than your knees. Low tide, it is. :-)

Here's my guide if you want to visit this tropical paradise:

-From Cebu City, hail a taxi and head to the North Terminal.
-Look for the buses going to Hagnaya Port, usually Ceres Bus (3 hours).
-Once in Hagnaya Port, ride the ferry/RORO to Santa Fe (about 1.5 hours).
-Mode of transportation once in Santa Fe are pedal pushers and tricycles.
-From there you can scan for your resort to stay for the night.

Cebu

Cebu City's most famous landmark is Magellan's Cross. This cross, now housed in a chapel, was supposedly planted by Ferdinand Magellan when he arrived in the Philippines in 1521.

It is one of the most popular destinations in the Philippines. It has the largest sea port and the second largest air hub.

It boasts of natural wealth like stretches of white sand beaches, as well as historical sites that reflect its multi-ethnic past.

Cebu is known as the Queen City of the South, also known as the oldest city in the country.
